EDITOR'S NOTE

In Issue 003, The Optic invited Brown and RISD students to reflect on the essence of nostalgia through the camera lens by pursuing the people, places, objects, and sensations that evoke a wistful longing for the past.

Our theme, "Nostalgia," offers a window into the past experiences of our photographers, shedding light on the sources of their current inspiration. This semester marks significant growth for our team, and the quality of this issue is a testament to the enthusiasm and talent of our new members. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their dedication and creativity.

We are so excited to publish this compilation of works from such incredibly talented photographers. Thank you for reading, and please enjoy!

Sincerely,

Mason Lane and Samuel Merkle
