CICI OSIAS

This collection, named Summer Soft after one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs, is an exploration of food and family, and how the two are often synonymous for me. These images were each taken in Summer 2020 and 2021, when a majority of my time was spent in my backyard with family. I was either behind the grill breaking a sweat, or stood beside the designated grill master begging for the first piece of chicken. Through these photographs I capture the vividness of my favorite season and the tenderness of breaking bread with kin. Summer is soft and family is sacred.
